No flights, no tights. Until tonight?
Well, here we are folks. After tonight, there will be no live action Kal-El until Henry Cavill begins his stewardship of the character in 2012.
SMALLVILLE has been on the air for an impressive 10 seasons. It launched in 2001 with the mantra “no flights, no tights” and billed itself as the story of the man before the Superman. Whether you feel like it’s been a good decade or bad, as a Superman fan, you cannot help but feel some excitment.
As I have said in previous articles, we need to see Tom Welling in the suit. Flying. Anything less will be a betrayal of the show’s premise, and loyal fans. To quote Joe Biden, this is a big (expletive deleted) deal.
